THQ just dropped us a line to show off the teaser trailer for its new Star Wars iPhone game. From the looks of it, Star Wars: Trench Run will place you in the cockpit of both the X-Wing and (must contain excitement) ol' Darth's Tie fighter.
Those of you who've seen the first film (there may be a few of you) will recall the thrilling finale in which the brave rebels flew through the treacherously narrow Death Star trench system, avoiding turret-fire and seeking to bomb the fragile core access tunnel.
The game evidently makes full use of the iPhone's accelerometer controls to steer your craft. Optional force control is as yet unconfirmed.
That's all the info we have for now, other than to let you know that the game "will be live in next few weeks." Control, we must learn control...
Great, so half of one level from GameCube's Rogue Leader. And it'll probably equal or eclipse the price of it used.

Um, Gamecube is a console. This is a mobile platform. Tell me how bringing content that used to be available only a console (and nice graphics too) to a mobile platform is a bad thing.
I think it looks awesome. Of all the Star Wars games, it's flying the ships that's the most fun. To be honest, a direct port of the 1983 Atari coin-op would get me hard. In a pocket gaming sense. If you see what I mean.
