New Sonic Runners trailer actually shows off some gameplay

Sega's first ad for its upcoming Sonic Runners mobile game relied on the nostalgia factor to get people talking.
It's Sonic, so maybe it worked.
But for those of you who need to see some gameplay to get excited, there's a new Sonic Runners trailer that has what you need.
I'm not sure if it's enough to get excited about, but it's definitely gameplay, at least.
The trailer shows Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles as playable characters, which we already knew, but also hints at a roster of more.
A good look at the game shows plenty of potential for monetization, too.
Let's hope Sonic is fast enough to break through a paywall!
Sonic Runners is headed to iOS and Android this month in Japan as a free to play game with microtransactions.
Additional release dates have yet to be announced.
