New Sonic 20th Anniversary iPhone companion app offers Sonic 4 trial, Sketchhog game, and more

Did you know it's been 20 years since the Blue Blur first dashed across our screens?

Well, in celebration of that little factoid, Sega has released a free Sonic 20th Anniversary iPhone companion app.

This app gives you access to all of the latest Sonic news, and allows you to download exclusive wallpapers for your iPhone and iPod touch.

It also contains a brand-new Canabalt-esque Sonic the Sketchhog title, which sees you jumping over enemies, pits, and other hazards, as you attempt to climb Game Center leaderboards.

Finally, a Lite version of Sega's Sonic The Hedgehog 4, Episode 1 - which isn't available on the App Store - is also included.

It's free, so you might as well give it a whirl.
