Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is on sale for just 69p/99c on iOS

And so are Crazy Taxi and Virtua Tennis Challenge

Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is on sale for just 69p/99c on iOS

Sega has slashed the price of three of its finest iOS games down to just 69p / 99c, meaning you can grab them for about 60 percent less than they usually cost.

Chief among them is the Gold Award-winning Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed [buy].

Though it has a stupidly long title, this is probably one of the finest kart racers ever on the App Store.

At review, we called it "an incredibly slick kart racer that marks a new high point for iOS kart racers and stands as another exemplary console conversion."

Unfortunately, you'll have to play as old-style Sonic here, instead of the Sonic Boom version of the hedgehog who has a scarf and some arm bandages.

Shame.

Anyway. Next up, there's the finest iOS tennis game around, Virtua Tennis Challenge [buy].

This Silver Award winner is a mash-up of bite-sized fluffy-ball smashing events that fits perfectly in the pocket.

When we reviewed Virtua Tennis Challenge, we said the game had "all the thrills and excitement of its console brothers, with surprisingly dependable controls."

Which is all you really want from a tennis game.

Last but not least, there's Bronze Award-winning arcade and Dreamcast classic Crazy Taxi [buy].

This one's all about driving a taxi. But, you know, crazily.

When we reviewed it, we said that "Crazy Taxi is big, loud and crude, and it's certainly showing its age - but this smooth conversion is still extremely difficult to put down."

So, there you go - three pretty great games for less than the price of something that costs £2.08.
