Owlchemy Games has added a Brony Mode to its madcap physics game Snuggle Truck as an in-app purchase. In this mode, the game's cuddly toys are turned into a band of plush ponies or baby dragons.

'What is a "Brony", though,' we hear you ask?

Well, it's the name given to a cult following of male My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fans, apparently. Famous bronies include Stephen Colbert, Bill Clinton, and Gabe Newell.

"We love the brony community," Alex Schwartz, chief scientist at Owlchemy Labs says. "We began design on Brony Mode in response to fan requests. We wanted to make something to give back to the community."

Owlchemy Labs will plant one tree for every 200 purchases of Brony Mode. Schwartz says it mirrors the charitable nature of the Brony community, but we think he just feels bad for publicising the wanton destruction of forests in Jack Lumber.

Brony Mode is available now as a £1.49 / $1.99 in-app purchase in Snuggle Truck for iOS.

In Snuggle Truck itself, you need to transport your passengers to the zoo by safely driving over bumpy terrain. Easier said than done, of course.

Any bronies in the audience? Sound off in the comments below. We won't laugh - promise.
