Smarter Than You is an asynchronous mix of Rock, Paper, Scissors, a bragging match, and that bit in poker when you try and convince your opponent you've got a better hand than you actually do.
It's just landed on the New Zealand App Store as well, which means it should be popping up in the UK at midnight tonight.
The game is a minimalist scrap between you and another human opponent. You've got three options each round - sword, arrow, and counter. Sword beats arrow, counter beats sword, and arrow beats counter.
Each time they pop up they have different damage values. And if it's your turn to brag you can throw a suggestion out to your opponent to try and throw them off the scent of your next move.
It all combines into a clever little duel that's about making the right choice at the right time. For all of the game's minimalist tendencies, it can get surprisingly tense.
When the game hits the UK later tonight it won't cost you a penny to give it a try. And that sounds like a pretty good deal to me.
