Glitchy teaser for Smarter Than You, a social dueling game, is released
From the developer of 10000000
Following a series of mysterious, glitchy tweets from an "AI" called M.E.T.I.S., Luca Redwood - developer of the Bronze Award-winning 10000000 - released a teaser video for his new project, Smarter Than You.
Headed to iOS sometime in the near future, Smarter Than You is a social dueling game similar to rock-paper-scissors, with the added ability to announce your upcoming move to your opponent.
While you could very well do the same in rock-paper-scissors, Smarter Than You seems to have a system in place specifically for deceving and misleading the other player.
It also seems to have something deeper going on, with the AI character of M.E.T.I.S. interrupting the glitchy instructional video, though it's likely this is just for promotional purposes.
Smarter Than You will be monetized, according to Redwood, "in a manner that has [...] never been done before," promising more details soon. While the game is planned for an iOS only release, Redwood has not ruled out other platforms if the game is popular.
Next to this project, Redwood is working on a sequel to 10000000, called You Must Build A Boat.
