Ski Jumping 2010 coming soon to iPhone

Our good chums over at Vivid Games have just been in touch to tell us about an iPhone adaptation of its forthcoming winter sports game Ski Jumping 2010.

Admittedly, it might not sound particularly inspiring, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the exclusive preview of the mobile version we ran back in October, which managed to work a surprising amount of action and skill into such an apparently limited concept.

The iPhone adaptation of Ski Jumping 2010 will allow you to visit 26 different ski jumps around the world, taking one of the 49 jumpers to success in the World Cup. Up to four player pass-to-play multiplayer will be included, with some online functionality also promised.

The controls have been revamped to make best use of the touchscreen and accelerometer, and the game includes an advanced physics model for flight simulation as you live out your dreams of becoming the next Eddie the Eagle.

Ski Jumping 2010 is expected to land on the App Store early next year. More news as it comes in.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
