Move over, Professor Layton - there's a new detective in town, and he's puzzling it out on iPhone.

Simon Graham and the Extraordinary Timepiece is like a cross between the good old Prof and the child detective duo Whiz Kids.

Ten year old Simon comes home to find his grandmother kidnapped and various clues left behind.

A plethora of visual, word, math, jigsaw and hidden picture puzzles are his path to enlightenment, as he collects pieces of his grandmother's mysterious pocket watch.

If you've played the Layton games on DS you'll know what to expect here. This is definitely one to give your brain a good workout.

Check out the video below for a simple example of what to expect.

Simon Graham and the Extraordinary Timepiece is available from the App Store for $1.99 / £1.19 / €1.59.
