Silent Hunter for iPhone creeps into the App Store Waters
Available now at an introductory price
Silent Hunter has just been put to sea by Ubisoft, marking the first entry of the classic submarine simulator series on the iPhone.
Silent Hunter is set during the Second World War and puts you in charge of a German U-boat as it hunts down the pesky Allies convoys, sneakily sinking them with torpedoes and shooting down planes with the exterior guns.
My memories of the original Silent Hunter mainly involved watching a blue screen do nothing for three hours, but the iPhone version looks to be more exciting and immediate than that.
There are objective-led missions to overcome, experience points to horde, and even the ability to pimp your U-boat with upgrades. Removing the engines to fit in a monster bass stack, however, is unlikely to feature.
Silent Hunter is currently available on the App Store for the introductory price of 1.19/$2.59, and you can click the App Store link below to be taken straight to the relevant page.
