Ubisoft commissions iPhone version of Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic
Submarine sim docks with the App Store in March
Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic will be answering two ports of call next month when it comes to PC, as well as iPhone and iPod touch.
Along with the recently announced Anno Dawn of Discover: The Harbor and Assassin's Creed II: Multiplayer, Ubisoft plans on releasing the submarine simulation to the App Store in March.
Details on the iPhone and iPod touch version are scant, but we have plenty of information on the PC version.
As captain of a German submarine, you're charged with clearing the waters of Atlantic from British naval forces.
You're given a a Type VII A attack U-boat to get the job done. The 880mm deck gun and 11 on-board torpedoes should provide enough firepower to keep things suitably action-packed.
Obviously the PC version (which is pictured) is a pretty robust game, so we expect it to be pared down for portable play both visually and in terms of gameplay complexity.
Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic will be available in March for iPhone and iPod touch.
