Actually, it’s just a US Halloween sale

Silent Hill: The Escape for iPhone down to 99c for a spooky Halloween sale

US fright-fans are in for a treat this Halloween – Silent Hill: The Escape for iPhone has had its price reduced down to 99c to celebrate everyone’s favourite pagan festival.

Silent Hill: The Escape is a first-person survival-horror that puts you in the shoes of a hapless innocent trapped in the mazey confines of an abandoned (and very dark) hospital.

To make matters worse, your torch is from the same shipment that Doom 3’s one came in, so it won’t be beaming out lovely light for that long. And there are monsters everywhere.

It’s not quite the full-blown Silent Hill experience (not surprising given that it was released when the 3G was the fastest handset around), but it did manage to warp into the other world through a bloodstained doll and swipe a Pocket Gamer Silver Award back on release.

Europeans will be more angry and afraid however, as the price for us lot remains steadfast at £1.19 / €1.59.

Silent Hill: The Escape is available now on the App Store for 99c, and can be downloaded using the link below.
