Well, they did it: Sharknado game for iOS is out now
There be sharks here!
The embarrassingly over-the-top Syfy disaster flick, Sharknado, now has a video game counterpart, which you can purchase today on the App Store for £1.99 / $2.99.
Sharknado: The Video Game puts players in control of Fin, not a shark, but a broadsword-wielding, chainsaw-toting New Yorker bent on stopping the influx of shark-filled tornados destroying his city.
The game is an infinite runner, with gold coins to collect, flying sharks to mow down, and in-app purchases to be made despite its premium price.
The sequel to the 2013 film premieres on Syfy tomorrow, called Sharknado 2: The Second One. Syfy has also announced Sharknado 3 for 2015, which will be more or less of the same.
As you can see, the creators are trying to milk this for everything it's worth. If you're into it, grab Sharknado: The Video Game now on iOS for £1.99 / $2.99.
