Gameloft's Shadow Guardian has gone live on the New Zealand App Store.

Bearing more than a passing resemblance to Naughty Dog's Uncharted on the PS3, Shadow Guardian follows the adventures of artefact hunter Jason Call as he clambers about in search of a pair of dangerously powerful statues called the Prima Materia.

The game's ambitious scope combines shooting, climbing, exploration, and puzzle solving, set to impressive 3D visuals that wouldn't be out of place on a console.

Whether this adds up to a quality gaming experience remains to be seen, but in the meantime you can check out our hands on preview, as well as the new trailer below.

Shadow Guardian costs NZ$9.99, which should translate to £4.99 / $7.99 when it hits UK and US shores.
