Fans of colours and explosions (like me) will want to keep an eye out for SPACE COLORS as it will be released on iOS in the next couple of weeks.

SPACE COLORS is the next game from Team Chaos, who disappointed us earlier this year with I Dig It: Journey to the Core. That doesn't have us holding too much hope for SPACE COLORS, in all honesty, then.

However, as SPACE COLORS was originally made for the Space Cowboy Jam, there's an alpha version already available to play. It's not too bad.

As you'd hope, it's a game that pops with bright colours, and the explosions are very satisfying. I'm particularly fond of its simple yet stylish art style. It almost looks like a comic book at times.

Anyway, the core appeal of the game is, quite clearly, shooting and blowing things up as you fly around space.

This destructive way of life is directed by markers that point towards your targets. You just head towards them and start shooting upon arrival until you hear a large bang.

The targets get bigger and nastier, mind, which means return fire will be harder to dodge. So it becomes increasingly important to collect health and avoid taking on groups of enemies.

For fans of space, shooting, and awesome visual feedback, SPACE COLORS should be a small, explosive treat. We'll let you know when it's available on the App Store.

Follow the game on its official website.
