Run Sackboy! Run! Sony's Little Big Planet flavoured endless runner, is in soft launch on iOS in New Zealand

Run Sackboy! Run! has been soft-launched in New Zealand. And it's actually pretty good, so long as you don't passionately hate endless runners or cuteness. Then you should avoid it.

As you can probably work out from the title, the game is all about sackboy running. The endearing little bag of cloth jogs automatically. You need to tap the screen to jump over obstacles, grab bubbles, and smash enemies.

It looks like it's been sliced directly from the console game, and there are stickers and other accoutrements to pick up as you try and escape from the negativatron that's nipping at your heels. Obviously.

There are some neat ideas here that make Run Sackboy! Run! a little less generic that it sounds. The levels branch out far more than in any endless runner we've seen before. And there's an emphasis on platforming over simple escape.

The game is set to hit iOS, Android, and Vita next month. We'll let you know when it makes a break from soft launch and lands around the rest of the world.
