Atari has revealed that it will release an iOS and Android version of classic theme park sim RollerCoaster Tycoon in 2013.

You'll star as an up-and-coming tycoon, and you'll create your own custom theme park by designing coasters and building attractions. It's all about attracting the punters and making cash.

You can either use the pre-designed roller coaster templates, or design your own death traps from scratch with the Roller Coaster Editor. You'll also be able to share your coaster designs with pals.

What we really want to know is whether the game will be a free-to-play deal, like, say, EA's Theme Park reboot on iOS. We've asked Atari for clarification on that matter, and we'll let you know what we hear.

Atari has also announced a turn-based strategy game for iPad and Android called Dungeons & Dragons: Warbands, and an iOS version of Atari 2600 classic Outlaw.
