At Apple's It's Only Rock and Roll press conference in San Francisco, Bart Decrem CEO of music game developer Tapulous revealed Riddim Ribbon; a cross between a music synthesiser and Wipeout.

In it you play a DJ racer, who guides a ball down a 3D song ribbon which runs into the screen like the perspective used in Tapulous' Tap Tap Revenge games.

You jump through hoops and choose between different routes to vary the mix.

Control is tilt via the accelerometer, with a flick movement used to jump.

And once you've completed a track, the game will save your mix of the song so you can replay and share it, which could be interesting in terms of linking into other community-based features.

The game was demoed with the Black Eyed Peas' Boom Boom Pow.
