Over 1,600 rhinos have been mercilessly killed over the past five years.

With demand for rhino horn constantly rising, the number of beasts killed each year is increasing, too.

iOS developer Flint Sky and the World Wide Fund For Nature are hoping to raise awareness of rhino conservation projects in South Africa via a new auto-run platformer called Rhino Raid.

In this gorgeous title, you swipe on your device's screen in various directions to help a young rhino called Rad slide under obstacles, leap over traps, avoid grenades, dodge automatic gunfire, and gore the pesky poaches who're after his horn.

You do this across nine colourful levels that are filled with collectible gold coins.

Nab every coin you see (and flatten every poacher you cross, too) and you may just earn yourself a tasty three-bolt rating on each stage.

You can grab Rhino Raid from the App Store now. Go on. You know you want to.
