Capcom's undead thunder was stolen a little over the weekend, when an unexpected iPhone adaptation of the spectacular Resident Evil 4escaped onto the Japanese App Store.
We were at once curious and excited at the prospect of taking Leon Kennedy on a portable version of his greatest zombies slaying journey, and sent Cappy an email to find out if/when we could expect to see the game.
There were mild concerns that Resident Evil 4 might be restricted to Japan, given that the sneak preview gave the game its native title of BioHazard 4, but you'll be delighted to hear it's going global.
Japan is expected to receive the game first, toward the end of July, after which it'll filter through to the other iPhone territories.
Here's that video again, to keep your blood warm until the zombies arrive.
Level design better be a lot more complex than what is in the vid or the game will flop. I'm sick of running around in a tight space and shooting zombies.
LEVEL DESIGN!!

Davy what do you mean no iPOD touch? isnt this coming out for all the ipod touches & iphones?
I've noticed that, very occasionally, there are some games on the App Store that don't support the first gen iPod touch. I really hope this doesn't become a trend. Locking 2nd gen iPod touch users out of a game released less than a year after the device would be a major kick in the touchscreen.

klouud did you never played resident evil for?If you don't,start playing it on PC,and stop talking crap.
Since this looks like it'll be a port (hopefully of the wii version) the levels should stay the same, meaning they should fairly complex later on in the game, but from the vid some of the complexity might be stripped seeing as he didn't go into any of the houses as you could in the console version (or maybe he didn't want to), that and some stuff seems to be missing from the village level. Though this is a portable game so some concessions must be made.
