Resident Evil 4 iPhone gets a Platinum edition, new chapters
The Kennedy augmentation
[Update: This story originally stated that Resident Evil 4: Platinum features Retina display graphics. It doesn't. Sorry for the mix-up.] Resident Evil 4 has just gone Platinum on the App Store.
This instalment of Capcom's famous survival horror series sees floppy-haired protagonist Leon Kennedy jetting off to shoot zombies in eastern Europe.
The game revitalised the franchise when it launched for GameCube in 2005, introducing free aiming and camera movement.
Resident Evil 4: Mobile Edition scored an impressive Silver Award at review, for successfully bringing the atmosphere and accuracy of the original to a mobile device.
This version's neatly packed attache case of extras includes new cheats as downloadable content, and three new chapters for the main campaign.
It's available on the App Store now for $4.99 / £2.99/ €3.99.
