Ready your bow, unsheath your sword, and take a quick swig of a potion. Crescent Moon's epic fantasy-RPG Ravensword: Shadowlands will finally hit the App Store at about midnight tonight.
If you haven't read any of our previous coverage on Ravensword: Shadowland, it's an Elder Scrolls-like adventure that features a frankly enormous 3D world. Oh, and shame on you.
In an interview with PG earlier this year, Ravensword: Shadowland's creative director, Josh Presseisen, told us that the "game's size will probably be the biggest world to date of any 3D game on the iOS".
That world is filled to bursting point with enemies like goblins, giant spiders, and prehistoric dinosaurs, as well as animals you can hunt and mounts you can ride on.
Obviously, there are loads of quests (with decisions and multiple parts) to take on. And lots of weapons - like swords, bows, crossbows, hammers, and axes - to wield while you play.
There's more - like stealth, magical runes, pick pocketing, jails, and a reputation system - but we'll save all that for our review.
Spec sheet
In terms of compatibility, you'll need an iPhone 3GS or newer; a third-generation iPod touch or newer; and any iPad to run Ravensword: Shadowlands. This Unity-powered game will have real-time shadows and high-resolution textures if you play it on iPhone 5 or iPad 4.
Ravensword: Shadowlands is a 516MB download (though it'll take up 815MB when it's installed). It's going to cost you £4.99 / $6.99.
Android owners will have to wait a little longer for Ravensword: Shadowlands, by the way. Crescent Moon told us it "should" go live on Google Play in Q1 2013.
Hey Northlander - the game's also coming to Android in the new year. We thought 'Droid fans might be interested in an upcoming release.

I'm really surprised that it will run on the first ipad. I thought I was going to be stuck playing this on my iPod Touch 5. I'll be downloading it to both devices, but will probably play it mostly on my iPad, even if the quality is turned down.

Whoa. It's not even a GIG? That makes me wonder what the heck games like Penny Arcade 3 have packed into them in order to push them to 1 GB. Seriously, I'm impressed at what they've crammed in to that little size.
But then again, these are the same guys who packed a ton of play and areas into Ravensword: The Fallen King in under 100 MB!
