Updated on December 11th, at 12:51: Crescent Moon has told Pocket Gamer that Ravensword: Shadowlands "should" go live on Android in the first quarter of 2013. We'll keep you in the loop.

Crescent Moon's Skyrim-like RPG epic Ravensword: Shadowlands will sneak onto the App Store on December 20th - just one day before Apple shuts down App Store submissions for Christmas.

You should prepare yourself for a simply massive game.

Crescent Moon creative director Josh Presseisen told Pocket Gamer that it will be his studio's biggest RPG to date, with the team having spent more than two years of development time on it.

He also told us that the "game's size will probably be the biggest world to date of any 3D game on the iOS". Plus, if you want to see all that this game has to offer, you'll have to spend more than 40 hours roaming this enormous fantasy world.

We went hands-on with Ravensword: Shadowlands earlier this month. In our diary - which covered an hour's worth of play - we killed warthogs, found weapons, beat up goblins, worked for wizards, and got in trouble with the law.

Crescent Moon announced the game's December 20th release date on Twitter. It will be joined on the same day by another Crescent Moon game, Last Knight (an Unreal Engine-powered jousting game set in randomly generated fantasy worlds).
