QuizQuizQuiz now posing App Store questions

There have been plenty of attempts to make quiz games for the iPhone and iPod touch, but we're yet to see any rise to the top of the class.

Developer Four Dour Lemon – together with the quiz masters from UK company QuizQuizQuiz Ltd – hope to change this with QuizQuizQuiz, which has just launched on the App Store.

It features 28,000 multiple choice questions, which are split into sometimes weird categories such as People Who Don't Exist, Soft Drinks of our Times, and The Hoff, as well as more normal examples.

The UK version of the game includes the specialist subjects like Hollyoaks and Biscuits of the 1980s, though.

Your gameplay options include lives, lifelines, 50:50, pass and freeze, and setting the overall difficulty level. And Four Door Lemon also promises the game's question engine will stop you seeing repeats of questions you've already answered.

The game has various modes, such as the time-dependent Beat the Clock, or the sustained challenge of QuizMaster. You can set up pass-the-handset multiplayer games.

In terms of social networking, as well as using the AGON platform, there's Facebook and Twitter support, too.

And to make sure everyone's covered, the French, German, Spanish and Italian languages are included.

QuizQuizQuiz is available now priced $3, €2.39 or £1.79. Hit the Buy It! button to go direct to the App Store.
