As generic match-stuff RPG puzzlers go, Puzzle & Glory is pretty solid. It doesn't add that much to the tried and tested formula, but if you're into sliding gems around it'll probably divert your attention for a while.
The game gives you a party of three adventurers, then sends you along a card battler-style path to kill some monsters. Swiping on the screen lets you move gems one space, and matching three of them performs attacks.
Your heroes have different affinities and special moves built around the colours of the gems, and you can build a bigger team from cards you loot as you play.
And it's all fine. The compulsion loop is neatly attuned to the beat of mobile play, everything's reasonably polished, and the puzzle swiping gameplay works well.
But of course you've seen it all before. And that makes Puzzle & Glory incredibly difficult to care about.
