After last week's Pudding Monsters announcement and coy teaser trailer, ZeptoLab has finally revealed some gameplay details about its latest puzzler.

Choosing to let the game speak for itself, the Russian developer and Cut the Rope creator has released a second trailer for Pudding Monsters - this time throwing in some actual gameplay.

From the looks of things, Pudding Monsters is a grid-based puzzler in which you combine two or more of the titular gelatinous beasties into a wobbly geometric shape.

Unite all the monsters on any given screen and you complete the stage. However, some squares may be occupied by objects such as houses, trees, and windmills, all of which can interfere with your sliding trajectory and prevent you from sticking your monsters together.

In some cases, you will have to deal with sleeping monsters, which appear immovable until they are awoken by the touch of an active monster.

There's also a variety of environmental variables like buttons and switches, which can change the layout of the level and open up new pudding redistribution routes.

We should point out that all this info has been gleaned from the Pudding Monsters trailer, so feel free to check it out for yourself (above) and see if we've missed anything.

Pudding Monsters will hit iPhone, iPad, and Android on December 20th. We like what we've seen, and we're hungry for more.
