For those waiting and wishing for a new Project CARS game you'll be pleased to hear there's one in the making - this time on mobile.

Together with South Korean publisher Gamevil, Slightly Mad Studios will be bringing Project CARS GO to mobile in what sounds like a rather new and interactive way.

Ian Bell, CEO of Slightly Mad Studios noted, "Project CARS GO will put players in the driver's seat to experience the adrenaline pumping racing game in a whole new way. The racing genre has a large, dedicated fan base, who are going to be stomping the gas pedal and burning rubber very soon."

According to Gamevil USA President, Kyu Lee, the game will feature fully licensed vehicles and deep car customisation options, so car enthusiasts you'd better keep an eye out.

This is all the information we know at the moment. There's no word on a release date or region, but the thing I'll be most interested to see is in what manner the racing takes place.

From the description so far we could be looking at something like Gear.Club where you'll spend time both on the track and in the shop tweaking and customising your rides. Alternatively, there's the hugely successful CSR Racing 2 method which focuses more on customisation and offers up more of a linear racing experience. I'd be surprised if we saw something more like GRID Autosport, but only time will tell.

What do you guys think of the news? Are you stoked for the game? Are you not convinced by it? Let us know in those comments below.
