Ubisoft outs Prince of Persia Classic for iPhone

Ubisoft's annual 2009-10 financial results, the gaming giant responsible for blockbuster franchises like Prince of Persia, Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six, outed an interesting iPhone game due for release in the coming weeks.

In the company's release schedule for April to June 2010 (the first financial quarter), Ubisoft revealed that Prince of Persia Classic will be released on the iPhone before the end of June.

The name is shared by an Xbox Live Arcade release from 2007. Made by iPhone veteran Gameloft, Prince of Persia Classic was a remake of the 1989 Apple II platformer with revamped graphics and some slight control adjustments. There's a good chance that this will be the game that's coming to iPhone.

The iPhone game comes alongside two more giant Prince of Persia releases: the movie staring Hollywood hunk Jake Gyllenhaal, and Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, which is coming to DS, PSP and home consoles.

The release schedule also revealed iPhone games Master All Classics (presumably a port of the DS board game collection) and Voodoo Dice (a puzzle game coming to most download services, including PSP).
