The excellent Table Tennis Touch proved that your touchscreen device is the ideal platform for the delicate sport of ping pong.
Power Ping Pong plays almost as good a game, with responsive controls and convincing physics. But it places the enterprise in an altogether more vibrant context, pitting you against a series of gloating kung fu opponents and throwing a disorienting array of power-ups and special moves at you.
There are inter-stage one armed bandits, skill trees, and oodles of modes and backdrops to unlock, plus multiplayer. It's a shrill, ludicrous, macho confection stuffed with hours of content – and there's not an IAP in sight.
But the table tennis gameplay engine working beneath all the bunkum is solid, and that's what really matters.
