The next Pokemon GO Community Day is a throwback to the original anime series
The Squirtle Squad returns
The next Pokemon GO Community Day sees the return of the Squirtle Squad, the infamous rebel crew from the first season of the long-running Pokemon anime. The Squirtle Squad was comprised of sunglasses-wearing Squirtle with plenty of attitude to spare. To honor the Squirtle Squad’s legacy, you’ll be able to catch wild Squirtle with sunglasses during the upcoming Community Day on July 8.
The next Community Day, which takes place worldwide, encourages players to get out and play together. Squirtle is the star of the day, spawning more frequently, and you’ll be able to catch the special sunglasses Squirtles through the day’s Research Task. If you manage to evolve a Squirtle into Blastoise before the event ends, the Pokemon will learn the special move Hydrocannon.

The next Pokemon GO Community Day runs from 10 AM - 1 PM BST in Africa, 2 PM - 5 PM ET in North America, and 12 PM - 3 PM JST in Asia.
