Yep, if you've got an iPhone and the AR nature of Pokemon GO isn't enough for you anymore, you can now unleash a whole other side of it if you're running iOS 11.

By implementing Apple's ARKit framework it gives Trainers the chance to get up close and personal to the Pokemon they want to catch.

With AR+ Pokemon are now in a fixed space, meaning that you can walk up to the digital beasts and experience what they'd look like in real life. Sneaking up close helps you earn an Expert Handler bonus, but mind your awareness meter. If they catch on that you're creeping on them to get a better look they'll scarper so admire with caution, Trainers.

Should your Pokemon quickly flee, however, you can try tapping on the tall grass nearby to get them back and try your luck again. Catching Pokemon when up close and personal could earn you even more XP as well as a better chance at earning Great and Excellent Throw bonuses.

If the update isn't live in your area already, it should be arriving soon. Sorry Android-users, this one's for the iPhone owners for now.
