With Pokemon GO's anniversary this month, we already know Niantic's got a ton planned for it. Today, however, we got more details of the worldwide events taking place in the next couple of months.

Pokemon GO Fest Chicago is on the horizon, but apparently there're some worldwide activities everyone can get involved in. At Grant Park for the event, there will be three challenge windows throughout the day in which Trainers will unlock as many perks as possible by catching different types of Pokemon.

Trainers outside of Chicago, however, will also be trying to catch as many Pokemon as possible to extend the duration of the bonuses unlocked by the attendees. "If Trainers around the world catch enough Pokémon, a mystery challenge will be unveiled in Grant Park that, once completed, will unlock an extra-special bonus across the globe."

There will also be Pokemon GO Safari Zones in Europe on the following dates:

August 5th
  • Copenhagen, Denmark.
  • Prague, Czech Republic.
August 12th
  • Stockholm, Sweden.
  • Amstelveen, The Netherlands.
September 16th
  • Oberhausen, Germany.
  • Paris, France.
  • Barcelona, Spain.

Each of these events will give you a chance to catch a variety of Pokemon in Special Zones, featuring Pokemon encountered in the Kanto and Johto Regions.

Finally, there'll be a Pikachu outbreak in Japan from August 9th to the 15th. There'll be more details on that soon.
