 IPHONE NEWS - UPDATE

Rayquaza swoops onto Pokemon GO - here's how you can catch it

Unleash the dragons

Product: Pokemon GO | Developer: Niantic | Publisher: The Pokemon Company | Genre: Action
For: iPhone   Also on: Android, iPad

Pokemon GO Rayquaza

A new Legendary Pokémon is coming to town, as Rayquaza makes its Pokémon GO debut on February 9. Rayquaza, a super powerful Dragon and Flying type that first appeared in Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, will surely put up a good fight, but you can face it in Raid Battles until March 16.

Rayquaza won’t be flying alone. Pokémon GO is unleashing many other Dragon and Flying types straight from the Hoenn region into the game on February 9 as well. Hoenn Pokémon will be taking center stage for the entire week. In fact, you’ll only find Pokémon from Ruby and Sapphire in the wild until February 13. If you need some help filling out your collection, you’ll find special boxes full of Incubators, Star Pieces, and Raid Passes in the store until February 23.

It’s all part of the Pokémon franchise’s year-long celebration of Legendary Pokémon. More Legendaries will be making an appearance in both Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sun and Moon throughout the rest of the year. You can find out which monsters will be showing up when over here.
