Fans of Nintendo's Pokemon franchise will likely already know that the upcoming Poke Ball Plus will function as a controller for Pokémon Go, and both of the both Pokemon: Let's Go games.

However, as first reported by Serebii.net, some additional information has been revealed on an official Japanese Nintendo site.

When storing a collected Pokemon, the device will automatically spin any nearby Pokestops without you having to lift a finger. Of course, if your Poke Ball is empty, it'll still vibrate to let you know when you're near a stop.

It sounds like a pretty neat, and mighty handy, feature. Plus, any collected Pokemon can be sent into the Poke Ball for some well deserved rewards, so there are plenty of reasons to favour the peripheral over the standard means of control.

If you do decide to store a Pokemon in your Poke Ball Plus, you'll have the option to interact with it by carefully moving the device, at which point the captured creature can actually be heard through the Ball's speakers.

You'll be able to try it out yourself when it becomes available on November 16th. That's the same day that Poeémon: Let's Go, Eevee! and Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! are set for release on Switch.

You can nab the device on its lonesome for a hefty £50. Or perhaps you'd like the bundle that comes with one of the Let's Go games, which will set you back an even heftier £85.
