Japanese developer Kairosoft is both predictable and unpredictable.

Predictable because it always makes management games. Unpredictable because the themes for these management games have so far bounced from game development to hot spring resort management, and now to school administration.

Japanese site appbank.net reports that 'School of pocket' (in inverted commas because that's just what Google Translate is calling it) tasks you with creating the perfect school using the art of good management.

In the site's own (translated) words, you have to, “Foster good student, enhance reputation, increase enrollment, to enhance the facility, further increasing enrollment, the school let their favorite building is made up of revenue.”

Student achievement is apparently the central goal, along with school profitability. To this end you'll be able to tweak all sorts of variables including the teachers employed, the research carried out, the equipment students get to use, and so on.

It's unclear whether and when the game will be coming to international App Stores. Another Kairosoft title, The Game Dealer, has been available in Japan since the end of last year, so we could be in for a long wait.
