If you're a massive fan of Capcom's Phoenix Wright franchise, you're about to be very disappointed.

You see, Capcom has revealed that Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD for iOS has - once again - been delayed, and now won't be released until sometime in July.

"For reasons unknown to me, the release has slid another several months to July. Sorry guys," Christian Svensson, Capcom's senior vice president, revealed on his company's forums.

Fingers crossed it doesn't get delayed again, and we don't have to wait more than a few extra months to grab Capcom's collection.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD was originally scheduled for release during autumn of 2012, but that tentative release date was later revised to "early 2013" and then April.

As we've stated in the past, you'll be able to download this collection - whenever it hits the App Store - for free.

You'll then be able to grab award-winning titles Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations individually or bundled together through in-app-purchases.

mr_bez - I actually think its refreshing someone admitting they don't know the full reasons behind it; quite often I expect an executive will make up 'fluff' just to make themselves look informed ... this person had the confidence to admit that he didn't know (but that there are obviously sensible reasons involved).

Seems fine to me - to be frank if he'd said "There are issues with the layout of the data on the cartridge conforming to Nintendo's submission guidelines, specifically those in sections 10.6.4 and 10.8.56" would that really have made your day or made him seem more competant to you?

The main thing in such circumstances is to inform users of whats happening, that has been done.

"For reasons unknown to me..." What sort of statement is that? Why would you not ask why if you're told something is being delayed, especially if you are going to make a public statement about it?

And this guy is a "Senior VP". Either that title is handed out pretty easily at Capcom, or it goes a long way to explain why they're in such dire straits!
