No objections: first three Phoenix Wright games coming to iOS in English
Order in the App Store
Fans of enthusiastic courtroom dramas have every cause to celebrate – Capcom has announced that an English version of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD will make its way to the west.
The trilogy consists of mobile ports of three classic Phoenix Wright DS titles (Ace Attorney, Justice for All, and Trials and Tribulations), and was originally announced for Japan back in January as part a celebration of the 10 year anniversary of the series.
At the time of the announcement, Capcom gave no indication that an English-language version would follow - but follow it has.
Time for a recessThis autumn, Phoenix Wright fans can download an app called Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD from the App Store for free, and can then purchase the three individual games from within the app.
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy HD will come pre-loaded with a demo of Ace Attorney, consisting of the first two chapters of that game.
The app will include a few extra goodies, including the free 'Everyone Object' mode that will allow players to email or tweet animated gifs of characters from the series shouting "Object!", "Hold it!", and "Take that!". That won't get annoying...
If you can't wait to start, you can already get the first game, for iPhone, right now.
Elsewhere in the world of Ace Attorney, a fifth game has been confirmed, Capcom hasn't given up entirely on the idea of localising Investigations 2, and work on Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney has reached its climax.
