Penny Arcade The Game: Gamers vs. Evil drops down to 99c/69p

The Silver Award-winning card battler Penny Arcade The Game: Gamers vs. Evil has dropped its price down to 99c / 69p today.

This sort of sale is not uncommon for the inside joke-laden card battler, which normally sells for $4.99 / £2.99, but it's still a nice amount of savings if you haven't picked it up yet.

...or, y'know, you aren't playing the Gold Award-winning Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft card-battler that launched this week.

Have tube, will travel

Penny Arcade The Game: Gamers vs. Evil is a mobile version of the physical card game put out - and populated by - the folk over at Penny Arcade.

Needless to say, you'll need to be a diehard Penny Arcade fan to understand half the jokes and catch all the references, but we found Penny Arcade The Game: Gamers vs Evil to be "an entertaining gateway drug into the more complex deck-builders out there" in our review.

We also noted that it's "less imposing than the likes of Magic: The Gathering, and its bright colours and simpler rules are less likely to scare off casual gamers." And it offers plenty of play options like single player vs. AI and asynchronous multiplayer - so this might be worth checking out if you can tell your Cardboard Tube samurai apart from your Pax Pox.
