Free standalone OpenFeint application goes live on iPhone
|
OpenFeint has been establishing itself as the social gaming platform of choice with a huge number of iPhone game developers, and the company behind the community platform has been forging ahead with Android versions and new content.

Now the Xbox Live of iPhone has launched its own free standalone application, which allows you to keep a check on your statistics and take part in a growing community of gamers and developers.

Previously, OpenFeint has only been available through a game or application, and then only providing data about your achievements within that particular title. Using the OpenFeint app you can track your progress across all games, discover new ones in a daily free games showcase, chat live and via forums with other users, send challenges, and check out the global and local leaderboards.

I've still got no idea how OpenFeint makes money, but it's rapidly becoming the backbone of on-device social gaming, so hit the App Store button below to get involved.
