Play along to Christmas carols in Note Fighter’s latest update

Warsaw-based MythicOwl created Note Fighter to make reading music fun. Now the developer has added a little festive cheer to boot in a new Christmas update.

The game transforms your phone into a portable piano. You can pick from a selection of famous musical pieces by the likes of Beethoven, Mozart and Pachelbel, and then challenge yourself to play the notes as they scroll across the screen on staves.

At one end of the stave stands Steamy, the steampunk conductor. As you play the piano, Steamy kicks at the notes rolling his way. Play the incorrect note or mistime your tap and Steamy will get hit. There are three difficulty levels based on how challenging the musical pieces are, as well as a practice mode so you can get the hang of it.

The Christmas update sprinkles snow across the app and pops a festive hat on Steamy’s metallic head. But it also adds some seasonal tunes to the roster, including ‘We Wish You A Merry Christmas’ and ‘Quickly On To Bethlehem’. So you can practice your note reading skills whilst getting into the spirit of the season.

Note Fighter is available for Android and iOS and features 9 songs in the freemium version, and 18 songs in the premium version.
