Nonstop Chuck Norris review - Nonstop Knight wearing a slightly different jumper

For: iPhone

Can't stop this

Product: Nonstop Chuck Norris | Publisher: flaregames | Format: iPhone | Players: 1 | Version: Europe | App version: 1.3.5

Chuck Norris and his shadow are running around, whomping generic '80s street punks in the face.

Chuck is wearing a horse mask, and he's using a selfie stick to deliver his beatings. The bad guys are spouting memes as they crumble into showers of XP and coins.

If this sounds very silly, it's because it is. Painfully so. But it's also rather familiar. Nonstop Chuck Norris is essentially a re-skinned version of Nonstop Knight.

Gone is the podgy little warrior, replaced with the ginger killing machine. But other than that and a few other tweaks, there's not much else new here.

Chuck the game

If you've played Nonstop Knight then you know what to expect. Mr. Norris runs around the levels automatically, attacking groups of adversaries.

You control when Chuck uses his special moves. These are on a cool downs, but using them gives you a valuable boost in boss battles.

Like its predecessor, essentially this is a clicker. You earn coins for killing bad guys, then use them to upgrade your equipment. A horse head mask is good, but an upgraded horse head mask will boost your specials, for example.

The game is split up into stages. Most stages just require you to beat up a set number of bad guys. Then there are boss stages, where you need to mash the face of a giant baddy to move on.

The systems in play here are all the same. You can drink energy drinks to rush through the levels, and there are rifts that reset your progress as you chase an evil robo-cat through time and space.

And it's all fine. If you enjoyed Nonstop Knight, or if you're a fan of Chuck Norris, then there's a lot here to sink your teeth into.

But, in the end, it's very much more of the same. And it's a game you don't really have to look at to play. Like seriously, I'm typing this and Chuck is just stomping through stages murdering people without any input from me.

Norris he weak

If you like your action games casual and with a thick-ish thread of humour running through them, you're going to enjoy what Nonstop Chuck Norris has to offer.

If you're looking for something with a little bit more depth though, you'll be far better suited looking elsewhere.

Nonstop Chuck Norris is just a reskin of Nonstop Knight, so you're either going to love it or hate it
