If you love playing turn-based card games on your iPhone and iPad, keep reading: there's a new one on the way.

Developer Playdek has teamed up with game publisher Alderac Entertainment Group (AEG) to bring an all-new card game based on the popular Nightfall boardgame to the App Store.

If you're unfamiliar with this deck-building title, it sees you utilise vampires, werewolves, and ghouls in order to win battles against other undead creatures in a post-apocalyptic world.

Another world

Your aim in the Nightfall boardgame is to inflict wounds on your opponent's cards and make it to the end of a match without taking too much damage. Naturally, the player with the least number of wounds is crowned champion.

Unnaturally, however, a player's deck becomes faster and more enraged with every wound, which results in more cards and a bigger chance of kicking backside.

Nightfall will launch on "iOS gaming devices" in the "next few weeks".
