Fancy seeing a vampire kick some skeleton butt? Well, we have just the video for you, then.

It shows new footage from the promising iOS and Android gothic beat-'em-up Never Gone. It's upcoming from Chinese studio Hippie Game.

You may recall that we got some hands-on time with it at the Tokyo Game Show. We were impressed, but unfortunately weren't able to show you why.

Well, with the arrival of this video you can see what we saw, including a bloody boss fight. Watch it below.

You'll notice that the enemies block a lot of the Dark Sister's attacks. This is due to a new weapon system that's only recently been implemented and is still being tweaked.

What the video also shows is the game's new level select screen, its new combo system, and you can hear the soundtrack provided by Swedish metal band Therion.

You can also see the three-button combo system in action. It consists of attacks, jumps, and shield use - buttons A, B, and C.

What you can't see is the other playable character, the male Blood Ranger, in action. He's not so dissimilar in play style, though, despite both characters having their own moves, skills, and weapons.

Never Gone

Never Gone will be arriving in China in some form later this month. It will be a while longer before it launches globally.

You can find out more about it on preview and track its progress on Facebook.
