NetEase has gone full loco at Nintendo fans with a brand new game that looks pretty familiar

Yeesh, I don't really know how or why this happened, but NetEase - or rather, one of its mobile games - is landing itself in a bit of hot water after posting a series of questionable comments online.

The account belonged to NetEase's Operation Windcloud Island, a new game which has more than a few visual similarities to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. After social media goers pointed this out, a game representative commented online and, er, it wasn't good.

Translations of the text note that the comments mock Nintendo fans who don't think smartphone games are real games, before saying that all PC games are superior to Switch games. Apparently derogatory terms were also used when talking about Nintendo and Sony fans.

The comment was deleted (but this is the internet) and a somewhat half-hearted apology was written up, pointing out that they are Ninty fans themselves. This was followed up by a photo of Nintendo Labo that'd been taken off of Google so... yes... that's where we are at the moment.
