Following months of delay, EA Mobile is now pledging to release the iPhone and iPod touch version of Mirror's Edge in September.

The publisher made the announcement on its official Facebook profile.

Originally scheduled for February, the game has been delayed several times. First, EA Mobile decided to add Facebook Connect integration and other features. That resulted in the original February release being pushed back to "spring."

Then, the game was pushed back to accommodate the iPad version, which was released on the device's US launch on April 3 to great acclaim.

Next, it was set for a summer release. In June, EA Mobile claimed it was to appear on the App Store "any day now." Of course, Mirror's Edge never appeared, which is why we're talking about a September release today.

Regardless, if the iPhone and iPod touch version is anywhere as quality as the superb iPad edition then it will have been worth the wait.

Mirror's Edge will be available for iPhone and iPod touch in September. An iPad version is currently available for £5.99/$9.99.
