Minigore is still racing up the App Store charts but developer Mountain Sheep isn't swimming in dollar bills and champagne just yet.

Instead it's hard at work on updates.

The first announcement reveals there will be another playable character starring alongside John Gore.

Lizzy the Lizard from Illusion Labs's iPhone game Sway will be added as a co-operative multiplayer character, as well as being unlockable in single player mode.

Executive producer Jouni Mannonen also explained the company's decision to release a stripped down version 1.0 of the game: something I debated in the review.

"We had to release 1.0 with such a limited featureset because our fans were getting too impatient," he says. "With 3,500 replies in the TouchArcade forum thread, we couldn't sit on it any longer."

"People wanted a simple version first while we polish up the co-op, and this is what we're now looking to do," Mannonen explains. "We're trying to establish actual dialogue with our fans and supporters."

The developer is keen to keep the channels of communication open, with regular polls on updates been held at minigore.blogspot.com.

Mannonen argues the game's minimum pricepoint has been thought through as well.

"People have been telling us to ask for more money, but we've refused to do that. We believe Minigore's success is a testimony for it being decent value at under a dollar," he says.

Minigore is now available priced 99c or 59p. Hit the 'Buy It!' button to go direct to the App Store.
