Good news, folks.

Mojang has updated the iOS version of Minecraft - Pocket Edition with a bunch of new features, including - finally - the highly anticipated ability to craft new items. Yes, the mobile version of Minecraft now has crafting.

If you aren't familiar with crafting, which can be accessed through your inventory, it's basically a method of creating tools, weapons, and other items from a variety of raw materials.

If you're a crafting noob, fear not: Pocket Gamer has just published a handy guide to this skilful art. Blimey, we're good to you.

This refresh also introduces cows and chickens, damageable items, and the facility to drop items from your selection slots. Simply press and hold one of your sweaty digits on an item to ditch it.

The newly updated Minecraft - Pocket Edition is available on the App Store as a Universal app for £4.99 / $6.99.
