Supermen return

Double Fine releases Middle Manager of Justice on iOS (again)

After a mistaken launch back in September, Double Fine has finally launched its first iOS game, Middle Manager of Justice.

The game slipped out accidentally (no, really) on September 4th when Double Fine forgot to tell Apple it didn't want to proceed with the initial release date. Oops.

Not to be deterred, Double Fine withdrew the game and commissioned those who had downloaded it to act as beta testers. The result of these tweaks was that an apparently much-improved game could be launched on the Canadian App Store on December 4th.

Now, a week on from that updated release, the rest of us can play.

So what's changed? According to the blurb on the game's App Store listing, "The game tweaks and polish are too numerous to list, but it is worth mentioning that MMOJ now supports iCloud saves, iOS6 and the new iPhone 5."

Middle Manager of Justice sees you managing a team of superheroes. It's up to you to train your lunk-headed cohorts and whip them into crime-fighting shape. You also need to improve the office facilities and upgrade your equipment for maximum efficiency.

Even Superman needs to fill out paperwork, you know.

Double Fine is known for injecting more than a dash of humour into its games, so it comes as no surprise to learn that this is more The Tick than Justice League of America. Thank goodness for that, eh?

Middle Manager for Justice is available now on the App Store for iPhone and iPad. It's free to download, with the usual in-app purchase system to entice you into spending your pennies.
