Internet celebrity, prolific tweeter, and Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson has just tweeted (see, we told you) a video from fellow developer Jean-Philippe Sarda, who's working on a Miners4K-inspired title called MicroMiners.

If you're wondering why Notch is so interested, it's because he created Miners4K.

Anyway, we're not 100 per cent sure what your mission in MicroMiners is, but it looks like you're tasked with guiding lemming-like creatures through underground caverns that you create with your fingers.

It also looks like there are various elements, such as gold and coal, to collect, and various hazards like lava and giant worms to avoid. You can check out the footage we've seen for yourself below this article.

No, just no!

MicroMiners is currently set for release on both iPhone and iPad, but Sarda would also like to port the forthcoming title to the Android platform.

"I like Android, I have four Android devices at home. If I were to start a new game today, it would be developed for iOS and Android from the start," Sarda revealed on his YouTube channel.

"But, at the time I started this game, multiplatform engines were not as advanced as today. This is a one-man project, and porting to Android would be quite expensive. It will maybe happen, but only if the game gets a lot of downloads on iPhone / iPad."
