We spoke with game design guru Luc Bernard a few weeks back (actually, last October, too) about his intentions for the continuation of the Eternity’s Child series. He told us all about Mecho Wars, which promises to be a grand prequel that brings us up to speed on the events of his lush strategy game.

Well, Bernard’s since flitted to America, and just dropped Kotaku a line to reveal a few extra details on Mecho Wars. The game, as we know, is a prequel and aims to tell us the story of why the protagonist from the original game, Angel, wound up alone on the eco-ravaged planet.

The tactical strategy game will boast nine different units and three modes of play (although one of them is the tutorial, apparently). Award winning Sean Beeson returns to provide the soundtrack for Mecho Wars, and by all accounts it should land on the App Store later this month.

Sweet.

Yes. Spanner's his real name, and he's already heard that joke you just thought of. Although Spanner's not very good, he's quite fast, and that seems to be enough to keep him in a regular supply of free games and away from the depressing world of real work.
